Dance
Students are currently being introduced to the foundational elements of Dance. As such, dancers are currently being introduced to a series of different styles of dance, including social and classical dance styles. Ultimately, the goal is to foster students' creativity and assist them in their journey of self-discovery, to find and create their own artistic voice. Students are then able to incorporate the elements of dance to create and choreograph new dance phrases that are then utilized and showcased at the end of each Trimester. Presently, students are working on developing their own Autobiographical dance phrase enabling them to channel their creative voice while also re-connecting to their past experiences. In addition to developing a new dance phrase, students are also working on understanding and respecting other styles of dance through different cultures such as introducing them to a series of dance genre within the Latino Culture.
