Reading and writing support to prepare our English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities for college.
We have a dedicated group of "ENL" and Special Education teachers to ensure our scholars recieve the best support possible.
Classrooms are equipt with "Smartboards".
Various teachers will provide loaner Chromebook laptops during classroom time, as it pertains to the lesson.
Our library is also equipt with computers. All scholars are able to complete school assignments during designated times.
HUM II scholars learn about themselves through learning outside the classroom.
Some Scholars have the opportunity to intern with companies like "Rocking the Boat".
Where their mission is to empower young people from the South Bronx to develop self-confidence, set ambitious goals,and gain the skills necessary to achieve them.
HUM II scholars are given the opportunity to express themselves artistically.
Scholars can show off all of their talents in various Showcases, Talent shows, Pep Rallys, Art exibits, and more!
There are various clubs at HUM II. We also give students the opportunity to create their own clubs, with the assistance of a volunteer staff faciltator.
Many after-school clubs and sports teams to choose from, including:
Project PRIDE, Student Government, Jam Session, Makeup Club,,Japanese Club, Homework Help ,Ping Pong, Mural Makers Club, Elite Artists Club, Jiu Jitsu Self Defense, Afro Caribbean Dance Crew, Travel Club, SalsaBaRengue (Latin Dance Club),ENL Club, Girl Code, African Dance,
Game Club, Algebra Prep, Creative Writing Club.

A group of HUMII staff members and scholar leaders took a trip to the Dominican Republic and assisted in building homes, water filtration systems , and learned how to make chocolate for the underprivileged members of the country.
Our Student Government Associationis the voice of what scholars want at HUM II.
All Scholars in "SGA" attened weekly meetings to discuss events, policies, and their vision for the year.
Every year a group of HUM II staff members, scholars, and families march for various causes. Including (but not limited to) the Breast Cancer and AIDS Walk.
