Frederick Douglass Academy VII (FDA VII) High School opened in 2004. It is a small high school modeled after Frederick Douglass Academy of Harlem. We are committed to equipping young people with the skills and knowledge for successful postsecondary experiences. Scholars at FDA VII have the opportunity to take college-level courses
and participate in annual local and out-of-state college tours. Dedicated guidance and college staff supports scholars and their families to navigate college admissions, financial aid and the college acceptance process.

How to get in
Priority is given to incoming scholars who sign in at one of our many Open House events or visit our table at a citywide or borough-wide high school fair. We encourage prospective scholars and families to contact our school to schedule a visit and tour and to meet our staff and scholars.
