The Portal provides both school and district staff with a common tool for student planning, program implementation, and organizational improvement. Designed to meet the unique needs of different roles in a school system, the Portal consolidates information from disparate sources and supports collaboration within schools and management across a district. For years, the Portal has been successfully leveraged by educators to drive improved attendance, graduation, and postsecondary outcomes.
Students and their families rely on many different city agencies for the support and opportunities they need to thrive. The Portal fosters collaboration between these agencies and the school system by providing an integrated infrastructure. In NYC, New Visions collaborates with the Division of Homeless Services, the Administration for Children’s Services, the Division of Youth and Community Development, the Department of Social Services, and other city agencies.
Schools partner with thousands of non-profit organizations to provide critical services and expanded opportunities. While these organizations function as an extension of the school system, they have difficulties obtaining the information they need to effectively manage and improve their programs. New Visions provides the Portal to a diverse group of non-profit organizations allowing them to access relevant information for the students they serve and the programs they administer.
