The Teaching and Learning team helps schools implement and develop personalized, resource-rich and inquiry-based teaching practices set within a culture of high expectations.

An instructional program relevant to young people helps them explore the world with a sense of wonder and curiosity. New Visions’ Teaching and Learning programs empower all learners to construct their own knowledge, master challenging content, meet and exceed state standards and acquire critical independent thinking skills necessary for personal and academic achievement.

Citi College Bound

The Citi College Bound program supports high expectations for student achievement by helping to create a school-wide expectation of post-secondary study.

Fund for Teachers

The Fund for Teachers provides educators with grants to undertake self-designed learning experiences that develop new skills and reinvigorate their enthusiasm for teaching.

Learning Networks

New Visions facilitates several networks, focused on topics such as middle school math, English as a second language, special education, adolescent literacy, college counseling, social studies and action research. While the focus of each Network varies, every Learning Network is designed to improve teaching and learning across a set of schools.

Libraries and Literacy

The Libraries program helps schools develop strong and vibrant library media centers that support curricula, provide the broadest range of information access, and inspire student inquiry and independent learning.
