Spring is here and we are nearing the time for end of the year June Regents preparation. Saturday Academy begins right after we return from Spring Break on Saturday, May 4, 2024. All Bronx Latin High School Students who are sitting for a Regents Exam in June are scheduled to attend Saturday Academy. We are offering this support to your child because this year we want to make sure your child is prepared to be as successful as possible and pass Regents exams that are required by New York State.  Making sure that your child has regular attendance at Saturday Academy is the most important thing that you can do to help your child.

The first Saturday Academy is Saturday, May 4, 2023.  There are only a short number of Saturday Academy sessions before the Regents exams, so attendance is very important. We only have a total of 6 Saturday Academy sessions before Regents Exams in June, so it is very important that your child be present and on time for each session.  Saturday Academy is from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Bronx Latin.  Please ensure your child arrives on time and attends all sessions. Students do NOT need to be in dress code. There are only a couple months to prepare your child for these rigorous exams, and Saturday Academy will provide the necessary remediation and test preparation for your child to be as successful as possible. 

Because different classes take different Regents, every class will have a unique prep session schedule which will be shared next week. However ALL students will be in attendance from 9 am – 1 pm prepping for exams.

For our 11th and 12th grade scholars currently scheduled for an AP course, we are offering targeted AP prep support this Saturday, April 13th for 12th grade: AP Lang (Dr. Gadon) and AP Gov (Mr. Silverman). For 11th grade: AP US History (Simmons).

Bronx Latin’s YLC – Youth leadership Council – is a program that works to ensure equitable access to transformative civic opportunities for all NYC high schools. Every student is equipped with the skills and resources to build a stronger community and inclusive school environment.

Bronx Latin’s YLC hosts a spirit week every March – and this year for Spirit Week we will have Pi Day (March 14), Culture Day, Generation Day, Celebrity Day, Sports Day, and Twin Day.
