Our goal is to prove that New York City public schools can
prepare all students for success in college and career

Overview

To be successful in the 21st-century global economy, today’s high school graduate needs to know more and be better equipped than ever before. High school graduates increasingly struggle to compete under the demands of the marketplace. Schools must therefore have access to the tools and resources required to adequately prepare students to be able to pass college-level courses or maintain a living-wage job.

At New Visions, we’re committed to demonstrating that mass numbers of low-income, urban students can graduate from high school fully prepared for a competitive world. At our network of 76 New York City public schools, we work to define and implement innovative strategies that make success more likely for our neediest students. By strengthening curriculum and empowering teachers who are willing to take chances and be accountable for outcomes, we build capacity within schools to make success possible and sustainable.
