In 9th and 10th grades, our Lower House curriculum builds an academic foundation and prepares scholars for the Common Core test. In Upper House, 11th and 12th grades, scholars enjoy greater academic freedom with AP classes, college counseling, and electives.
A focus on writing across all subject areas allows scholars to hone their expressive skills and articulate ideas and opinions.
AMS connects scholars to resources in the Bronx and beyond, where they can practice their skills, build experience, and forge connections past graduation.
AMS clubs include Homework Help, Step Team, Cooking, Glee, Photography, Digital Arts Club, Journalism, Progressive Student Alliance, Journeys Through Science Fiction and Yearbook.
Public School Athletic League sports on the John F. Kennedy campus include football, baseball, basketball, soccer, track, tennis and gymnastics.
AMS is building a strong student voice through our student representatives.
